Sam Berger scored a power play goal in overtime as the Cherokee Chiefs rallied to beat Moorestown 4-3 and force a deciding game next Monday night at Voorhees. Trailing 3-2 in the third period Cherokee would get the tying goal from their leader Jeremy Ambrose. The teams traded goals in the first period with Moorestown taking a 1-0 lead at the six minute mark on a goal by Andrew Jordan and six minutes later Sam Libetti scored for the Chiefs. Darren Ambrose gave Cherokee a 2-1 lead midway through the second period but Moorestown would capitalize on the power play just over two minutes later and we entered the third all even at 2-2.

After Elias Sulpizio gave Moorestown a 3-2 lead, Ambrose kept the Chiefs season alive scoring on the power play. That set the stage for overtime and Berger would score the biggest goal of his high school career to send the Chiefs off celebrating.
