Michael Klemm scored with seven minutes left in the third period as Cherokee defeated Moorestown 2-1 and advanced to the JVA Title game. Tony Breen had scored the only goal of the first period to give the Chiefs a 1-0 lead. Moorestown scored the only goal of the second period, as Anthony DeFrancisco scored with less than three minutes left to tie the score at 1-1. Moorestown would have two power play opportunities in the period but failed to take advantage as Jake Stone was strong in nets for the Chiefs.

Early in the third period, Moorestown would have an opportunity once again on the power play but could not capitalize. Klemm would find the net at the seven minute mark and the Chiefs would play strong defense in front of Stone and the Chiefs will move on.
