Brian Cutler’s second goal of the night snapped a 3-3 tie and gave Cherry Hill East a 4-3 win over Eastern in JVA playoff action. East will move on to play Cherokee in the championship. The game was interesting as neither team would score in the opening period. And in the second period they would combine for six goals. Jordan Stein would give Cherry Hill a 1-0 lead in the opening minute of the second period. James Vona and Cutler would score the next two goals as East took a 2-1 lead.

The Vikings said hold on and they would score the next two with Colin Yoder and Christian Hill getting the goals and a 3-2 Eastern lead. Joe Furgiuele would tie the game at 3-3 in the final two minutes as we headed into the third all square. Cutler scored at the four minute mark and then two minutes later Cherry Hill had a power play opportunity to increase their lead but could not capitalize and Brice Sullivan would shut the door in goal and Cherry Hill advances.
