Jeremy Ambrose scored four goals and Jake Frankenfield added three as Cherokee defeated Egg Harbor Township 8-2 in Flyers Cup action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Sam Libetti assisted on five of the eight goals. It took about eleven minutes for the Chiefs offense to get going, but Ambrose and Libetti would combine on the first goal late in the period. Continuing on the same shift Libetti would once again set-up Ambrose and Cherokee took a 2-0 lead into the second period. Early in the period with the Chiefs on the power play, Frankenfield would go end-to-end and circle around the net and fire a shot that found the long side and a 3-0 lead. 

Just about one minute later Ambrose would get his third of the night, once again from Libetti. EHT would break through at the six minute mark as Blaze Tommi would score to make it 4-1. Frankenfield would get that one back as he broke in with Libetti and put home his second of the night and a 5-1 lead. Ambrose would get his fourth of the night going top-shelf early in the third period, as once again Libetti set him up. Three minutes later with EHT on the power play Patrick Dugan broke in with Frankenfield and after Dugan’s shot was stopped, Frankenfield put home the rebound and a 7-1 advantage. Jacob Feliciano would score seconds later on the same power play to make it 7-2. Brendan Forest would close out the scoring for the Chiefs in the last ninety seconds.
