Nicholas Jarmain scored in the first two minutes of the second overtime period to give Moorestown a 3-2 win over Cherokee in the opening round of the NJ/DE Flyers Cup played in Voorhees. After a scoreless first period, Moorestown would get a pair of goals from Elias Sulpizio midway through the second period to take a 2-0 lead. Cherokee would get a goal from Pat Dugan early in the third period as he scored short-handed to cut the lead to 2-1. Four minutes later Brendan Forest would score on the power play to tie the score at 2-2.
Over the next twenty-six minutes neither team could score, until Jarmain from down low lifted the puck into the net and the Quakes moved on.
