Matt Cloud nets Hat Trick in Junior/Senior Showcase Game

Matt Cloud had three goals and Brian Miller added two as Team Briere defeated team Giroux 11-2 last night at Hollydell. The game was close after two periods but Team Briere blew the game open with six goals in the third period. Brandon Mead scored twice for Team Giroux. This year the league supplied jerseys and socks to each player. And Joe Walters supplied both teams with hoodies as well.

Despite the score, for most kids this would be there last time playing competitive hockey and all seemed to be enjoying the moment. Looking for more balance next year and the league has several proposals to look at. Nice crowd on hand, next year would like to see a sell-out.
