St Joe’s and the EEW played to a 3-3 tie on Monday night at the Skate Zone with Sam Amon scoring two goals for the EEW. St Joe’s led 2-1 after the first period on goals by Anthony Lovell and Alec Divenuto sandwiched around a goal by Amon. The EEW would score twice in the second period, first Peter Laviolette would score a power play goal and Amon would add his second with Nick Frangos getting the goal for St Joe’s. Both goalies would shut the door after that as Troy Altbaum for St Joe’s and Brian Mood for the EEW would not allow any more goals.

Doug Sanders had a hat trick and Austin Haslett added two goals as Washington Township defeated Black Horse 7-2 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Haslett opened the scoring three minutes into the game with Frank Hughes getting the assist. Sanders scored his first of three less than two minutes later for a 2-0 lead.
Aaron Huffnagle and Cole Zucker scored four goals each and Cherokee scored six goals in the third period to pull away from Holy/Lenape/Valley 11-2 at Voorhees on Monday night. Leading just 2-1 after the first period, with Huffnagle scoring both for Cherokee and Chris Rowan getting his first goal of the season for H/L/V.
Having been shut out for two periods by Black Horse goalie Aaron Wechter, Shawnee scored two goals in a three minute span to rally back from 2-0 and tie Black Horse at 2-2 in cross-over action played at Hollydell. After a scoreless first period, John Kennedy notched his first goal of the season to give Black Horse a 1-0 lead late in the second period. Kyle Frasier made it 2-0 four minutes into the third period and the way Wechter was playing things looked bleak for Shawnee.
Cole Zucker and Brian and Boomer Miller scored two goals each as Cherokee defeated Black Horse 8-0 in a battle between Tier I and Tier II teams. Tim Papagno stopped all 15 shots in picking up his second straight shutout. Aaron Huffnagle opened the scoring in the game’s first five minutes scoring an unassisted goal. Boomer Miller made it 2-0 just about five minutes later with brother Brian getting the assist.
Mike Katz scored all the goals and Vada Mangum stopped all 32 shots as Moorestown snapped Washington Township’s four game winning streak with a 3-0 win in SJHSIHL action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. After a scoreless first period, Katz put Moorestown on the board, beating goalie Ryan McCusker early in the second period. That would be all McCusker would surrender until late in the third when Katz would score again to make it 2-0.
Matt Bishop had three goals and Erik Lauk added two goals as Clearview defeated Shawnee 7-3 at Hollydell on Friday evening. Mike Vulpio chipped in with a goal and three assists and Max Ramos had a strong game in nets. Lawrence Walker led Shawnee with two goals. Vulpio opened the scoring just over one minute into the game and Clearview never trailed. After David Hall converted a pass from Vulpio at the five minute mark to make it 2-0. Shawnee broke through in the final seconds as Dante Guzzi notched his first of the season to cut the lead to 2-1.
Ryan McCusker stopped all 25 shots as Washington Township defeated Black Horse 4-0 at Hollydell. Four different players scored for Township with Matt Grosmick opening the scoring just over one minute into the game. Tyler Lubrant made it 2-0 about five minutes later.
Lower Cape May did not win a regular season game last year, but on Friday night that streak ended as eight different player scored as they defeated Middle Township 9-6 in action played at the Skate Zone in Atlantic City. Karlson Hughes scored two goals for Lower Cape May, Sam Bakely and Tom DeMarco led Middle Township with two goals each.
William Sulpizio and Eric Schwartz scored two goals each as Moorestown rolled over Shawnee 7-1 in Tier I action at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Vada Mangum stopped 23 shots in nets for Moorestown. Lawrence Walker scored the only goal for Shawnee. Moorestown jumped out early as Mike Katz scored just twenty nine seconds into the game with Sulpizio getting the assist. Schwartz would score about five minutes later, his first of two on the night, to make it 2-0 after one period.
