Four different players scored goals as Black Horse built a 4-1 lead and held off a late rally by Riverfront to win 4-3. With the win Black Horse after starting the season 1-5-3, have now rebounded to go 2-0-1 in their last three games, with both wins coming against teams that are in first place in their divisions. Zachary Faust gave Black Horse a 1-0 lead scoring the only goal of the period at the six minute mark. Midway through the second period Sean Conard would tie the game at 1-1 scoring a short-handed goal.

Mike Corkery scored two goals and the Eastern Vikings used a five goal second period to defeat the Williamstown Braves 5-3 in SJHSHL game action played at Hollydell. After a scoreless first period the Vikings Joseph Arlotta scored just twenty nine seconds in for a 1-0 lead. Twenty two seconds later Williamstown tied the game at 1-1 as Christopher Strekis scored his first of the season. Over the next eight minutes the Vikings would take control scoring four times.
Kenny Weightman scored two goals and Kyle Roscoe stopped all 19 shots as Middle Township defeated Lower Cape May 4-0 in action played in Atlantic City. The Panthers out shot Lower Cape 35-19 but were held scoreless until the third period. Lower Cape went 0-4 on the power play as Roscoe was tested several times but kept the game tied until the Panther offense got going.
St Joe’s and Clearview traded power play goals in the first period and neither team would score again as the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Alex Eberly scored in the opening five minutes of the game with Trevor Rucci getting the assist as Clearview was down a man. Exactly five minutes later, with St Joe’s down a man, Joe Freda connected for his first of the season to tie the game at 1-1. St Joe’s had two power play opportunities in the second period, both coming late, but failed to capitalize on the man advantage.
Winning a championship at most levels can be challenging. In order to increase the odds you as a player have to do everything in your power to be a positive force on your team. The coach, in that same spectrum must do all they can to create strategies that will help lead to victory. When it comes to structuring comprehensive training protocols please believe that there is a lot of work that should be done.
Moorestown built a 3-0 lead and held off Washington Township 3-2 in Tier I action played at the Skate Zone. With the win Moorestown improved to 5-1-1 and moved to within two points of first place Cherokee. David Shore scored the lone goal of the first period as Moorestown led 1-0 after one. Robert Widish scored his second goal of the year in the opening seconds of the second period and a 2-0 lead for the Quakes. After Daniel Bianco scored a power play goal midway through the period to give Moorestown a 3-0 lead, Township would get back in the game as they capitalized on the man advantage.
Enjoying some success in their first year playing as the Eastern, the Vikings got goals from eight different players as they defeated Williamstown 8-1 in Tier 1-B action played in Voorhees. The win was the fifth in a row for the Vikings as they improved to 6-3 on the season, good enough for first place in the division. Tonight the Vikings started slow and did not crack the scoreboard until the final three minutes, but they would score three in the final minutes to lead 3-0. First Steve Brodzik would convert a pass from Conor Riley to make it 1-0, forty two seconds later, on the power play, Timothy Jo would get his second of the year and the lead was 2-0.
Kristopher Hastings had three goals and four assists and Justin Bryan had three goals and two assists as Cherry Hill rolled over Middle Township 12-3 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Monday night. Eric Busler added two goals as Cherry Hill opened with a five goal first period and never looked back. Paul Stryker scored twice for Middle Township. Bryan opened the scoring just three minutes in as Middle Township was down a man. Three minutes later Busler made it 2-0, getting his fifth of the season. Owen McNally would make it 3-0 just two minutes later and Cherry Hill was in control. Goals by Hastings and Bryan just sixteen seconds apart had the lead to 5-0 heading into the second period.
Liam McGurrin picked a perfect spot to score his second goal of the season as he converted on the power play for Cinnaminson to earn the Pirates a 3-3 tie against Black Horse in late game action at Voorhees. Zachary Faust would score the only goal in the first period, his first of two on the night and Black Horse led 1-0 after one. Cinnaminson would score the next two, after James Lowry tied the score at 1-1 in the opening fifteen seconds of the second period; Andrew Fehr put the Pirates up 2-1 scoring on the power play at the eight minute mark. Faust would tie the game at 2-2 scoring late in the period.
Scott Veneziale scored two goals and Dylan Ringheiser stopped 27 shots as Black Horse upset Washington Township 4-1 in a rare Wednesday night game at Hollydell. Ringheiser was strong in nets and gave up few rebounds and improved his record to 2-1-1 on the season and had his GAA drop to 1.75. Township suffered just its second loss on the season. Veneziale put Black Horse up 1-0, scoring a short-handed goal with just over two minutes left in the opening period. Less than one minute later Austin Cole was pulled down from behind on another breakaway and was awarded a penalty shot.
