Having last played on December 16th, a 4-1 win against Clearview, The EEW struggled to find their rhythm and had numerous power play opportunities, six to be exact, but failed to capitalize on the chances. Billy Bascou finally broke the scoreless drought with just 36 seconds left in the second period, scoring down low with Tyler Arsenault getting the assist.
Trailing 3-1 heading into the third period, Moorestown roared back scoring four times, two by John Yedman, as they defeated Cinnaminson 5-3 at the Igloo on Friday night. Cinnaminson had built a 3-1 lead through two periods on goals by Eric Bell in the opening period as Cinnaminson led 1-0 after one. After Ryan Volosin tied the game at 1-1 for Moorestown midway through the second, James Popp and Joe Calendo would score late to give the Pirates a 3-1 advantage after two periods.
Peter Celnek scored a third period goal for Cinnaminson, just his second of the season as Mainland and Cinnaminson battled to a 1-1 draw in Tier II action played at the Igloo in Mt. Laurel. After a scoreless first period, Mainland took a 1-0 lead as Jack Handshaw would score late in the period. Both net minders would perform well as Stephen Renshaw for Cinnaminson made 33 saves and his counterpart in goal, Pierce Triboletti would stop 29 shots.
Allen Haynes scored a short-handed goal in the final minute of the game to allow Williamstown to gain one point and finish in a 1-1 tie. Despite launching 30 shots on Cinnaminson goalie Steve Renshaw, the Braves could not dent the scoreboard until the last minute of regulation. The Braves were still missing leading scorer Jonathan Ruiz and were frustrated by the outstanding play of Renshaw in nets.
