Chris Popp and Matt Cloud each had a hat trick as H/L/V defeated Middle Township 8-3. With the win H/L/V improved to 10-4-3 and now has a six point lead over Clearview in a battle for the top spot in Tier II. H/L/V launched a season high 61 shots on goal. With the win H/L/V improved to 6-0-2 in their last eight games. Popp scored the first two goals of the game, with Cloud assisting on both, for a 2-0 lead. They came five minutes apart and then Middle Township got one back as Dominic Donoflio notched his first goal of the season to cut the lead to 2-1.

Clearview set a record with 63 shots on goal in defeating Middle Township 11-2. Ryan Lauk and Matt Bishop each had a hat trick for Clearview which trailed 1-0 after the first period on a goal by Garrett Brown. Clearview would score five goals in the second period and then blow the game open with a six goal third period. Also scoring for the View was Eric Lauk with two and Austin Kohler, Mason Gagne and Mike Vulpio with one each.
Nick Frangos and Anthony Lovell scored two goals each and a strong third period helped St. Joe’s defeat Middle Township 6-1 in Tier III action at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Paulie Petrongolo would score one and assist on four goals. Frangos scored the only goal of the opening period, scoring in the final minute. Lovell would score his two goals in a 27 second span early in the second period to give St. Joe’s a 3-0 lead. Middle Township would score a late goal on the power play, Kenny Weightman getting his fifth of the season in the final eight seconds to cut the lead to 3-1.
Luke Hussey scored three goals and added two assists as the EEW defeated Middle Township 10-2 at Hollydell on Friday night. Peter Laviolette added two goals and three assists and Alex Deitch added two goals as the EEW blew open the game scoring six goals in the second period. Jeff Hernandez had a shutout going until midway through the third period when Middle Township’s Josh Mander scored on a breakaway.
Lower Cape May did not win a regular season game last year, but on Friday night that streak ended as eight different player scored as they defeated Middle Township 9-6 in action played at the Skate Zone in Atlantic City. Karlson Hughes scored two goals for Lower Cape May, Sam Bakely and Tom DeMarco led Middle Township with two goals each.
