Once again SJIceHockey.com is pleased to announce our annual award recipients. This year there seemed to be more balance throughout the league and with the playoffs upon us we could be in for a few surprises. Listed below are the 2012-2013 winners:
Tier I Player of the Year -Will Sulpizio -Moorestown - Will lead the league in goals with 26 and was second in the league in scoring and was an important part in the success of his team.
Tier II Player of the Year- Matt Cloud-H/L/V - Matt was the top score in Tier 2 and helped lead H/L/V to first place this season.
Best Defenseman of the Year -Frank Hughes -Washington Township - Frank had a strong senior season at defense and chipped in with eleven goals and had just 2 penalties on the season.
Breakout Player of the Year -Eric Lauk- Clearview - Eric finished second in the league in scoring and was second in goals scored in leading Clearview to an 11-9-1 record.
Tier III Player of the Year -Michael McFadden - River Front - Mike is the only player in any Tier to score 30 goals this season and was an important part of Riverfront finishing 13-2-2.
JVA Player of the Year - Dylan Peckis -Cherokee - Dylan, a pure JVA player finished 8-1-1 with a 2.08 GAA with 3 shut-outs for first place Chiefs.
JVB Player of the Year -Dylan Farnan - Riverfront - As a pure JVB player, Dylan was third in the league in scoring and had 3 game winning goals.
Coach of the Year - Vince Ridge - Moorestown - The Quakes finished first in Tier 1 with a 19-2-1 record and Vince’s calming influence behind the bench has helped keep Moorestown on an even keel.
Congratulations to all, the presentation will be prior to game 1 of the Championship on Monday February 25th at Voorhees.
