Peter Celnek scored a third period goal for Cinnaminson, just his second of the season as Mainland and Cinnaminson battled to a 1-1 draw in Tier II action played at the Igloo in Mt. Laurel. After a scoreless first period, Mainland took a 1-0 lead as Jack Handshaw would score late in the period. Both net minders would perform well as Stephen Renshaw for Cinnaminson made 33 saves and his counterpart in goal, Pierce Triboletti would stop 29 shots.
With both teams spending time in the penalty box in the third period, both had opportunities on the power play, but failed to capitalize, it wasn’t until Celnek tied the score that Cinnaminson was able to capture a point. Next up for the Pirates is a date with Moorestown on Friday night.
