Doug Zee made several point blank saves to help Clearview eliminate Rancocas Valley from the playoffs with a 5-1 victory at Hollydell. Five different players scored for Clearview, and they will need that kind of scoring in order to stay alive in the playoffs.

Timber Creek scored four power play goals to erase a 3-0 deficit and went on to defeat Cherokee 2 at Voorhees, 8-4 in an opening round playoff game for both teams.

Ryan Monahan scored his second goal of the game with thirty seconds left in the first overtime as Cherry Hill West defeated Eastern 5-4 in the opening round of the Tier 2 playoffs at Voorhees.

Last night’s entertaining game between Shawnee and Cherry Hill East brought back some old issues we here at SJIceHockey (formerly SJSports) have complained about over the years and that is the Tier System.

When you have almost 2 weeks off before your playoff run starts its always good to stay sharp by scheduling scrimmage games. With Shawnee having the best record in Tier 1, and Cherry Hill East the best in Tier 2, and some players from both teams playing on the same club teams, you will get your share of trash talking.
