Alec Nicolai scored four goals and Dylan Chesney added two as Moorestown rebounded from an opening night loss to deal Lenape a 9-1 defeat. After surrendering nine goals to Township, Tyler Griffis came back to surrender just one, and that was early in the first period. After Nicolai gave Moorestown a 1-0 advantage just over two minutes into the game, Scott Siracusano tied the score for Lenape at 1-1 with Zach Spear assisting. Moorestown would explode for four goals over the next six minutes to take a commanding 5-1 lead. Chesney would score two goals, sandwiched between one by Nicolai and one by Chris Carnivale.

Nicolai added his third goal of the game on the power play four minutes into the second period and the lead was 6-1. John Ellison added a goal late in the period for Moorestown and the lead now was at 7-1 heading into the third period. Matt Olbrich contributed a power play goal early in the period to give Moorestown a seven goal cushion at 8-1. Nicolai added a short-handed goal late in the game as the two teams spent most of the period killing penalties. A total of 10 combined were called on both teams.
