Ben Tice stopped 34 shots, including 16 in the third period as Cherry Hill East held off Lenape 4-3 in action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Lenape scored the lone goal of the opening period with Dan Blash notching his first of the season. East tied the game at 1-1 at the ten minute mark of the second period with Jake Soloway getting his first varsity goal. Less than three minutes later Tyler Caton gave East the lead for good with Eric Simone getting the assist and after two periods East led 2-1.
Simone and Ross Bryan scored goals two minutes apart early in the third period as the lead grew to 4-1, Jared Hand assisted on both goals. Tice meantime was stopping everything Lenape threw at him. Zach Spear finally broke through for Lenape as his goal with less than seven minutes left cut the lead to 4-2. Kyle Young made it 4-3 just over one minute later. Tice made the lead hold up despite Lenape having a power play late in the game.
