Moorestown scored four goals in the third period, including three in the final thirty-eight seconds as they defeated Holy Cross 8-2 in Tier 1 action at Hollydell. Mike Katz and Matt Olbrich led Moorestown with two goals each. Patrick Rizzo scored both Holy Cross goals. Both teams waited until the last minute of the first period to get on the scoreboard, with Holy Cross scoring first, short-handed as Rizzo was sent in by Brian Clegg and he converted to make it 1-0. Towards the end of the period Olbrich got that one back as he scored down low on the man advantage and we headed into the second period even at 1-1.

Once again Holy Cross took the lead as Rizzo scored a power play goal, but Moorestown answered with a power play goal of their own as Katz got his first of the game with Liam Ridge and Eric Schwartz assisting. Olbrich gave Moorestown its first lead with less than five minutes left in the period as his short-side goal made it 3-2. Ten seconds later Dylan Chesney made it 4-2 as he converted a feed from Brian Glodowski. Katz made it 5-2 at the ten minute mark of the third period, and Holy Cross had a few defensive lapses late in the game allowing three goals in the final minute. John McCollough, Glodowski and John Ellison each scoring for Moorestown to seal the game.
