Chris Popp and Matt Cloud each had a hat trick as H/L/V defeated Middle Township 8-3. With the win H/L/V improved to 10-4-3 and now has a six point lead over Clearview in a battle for the top spot in Tier II. H/L/V launched a season high 61 shots on goal. With the win H/L/V improved to 6-0-2 in their last eight games. Popp scored the first two goals of the game, with Cloud assisting on both, for a 2-0 lead. They came five minutes apart and then Middle Township got one back as Dominic Donoflio notched his first goal of the season to cut the lead to 2-1.
Sam Belanger added a goal in the last minute to give H/L/V a -1 lead after one period. A four goal second period put H/L/V in control as Cloud with two goals and Popp and Liam Ingram on the power play overshadowed goals by Garrett Brown and Kenny Weightman as the lead grew to 7-3. Cloud completed his hat trick scoring a goal at the ten minute mark, his team high 17th of the season, to close out the goal scoring.
