Vinny Salerno scored two goals as Kingsway defeated Lower Cape May 8-1 in action played at Hollydell on Friday night. Kingsway took advantage of the man advantage as they scored consecutive goals on the power play with Nick Bellapigna connecting with two men in the box at the six minute mark. Corey Owens made it 2 -0 just over two minutes later scoring his seventh of the season.
Goals by JJ Fogelman and Salerno with four minutes left in the period gave Kingsway a 4-0 lead after one.
Matt Owens and John Francis scored goals twenty three seconds apart early in the second period to give Kingsway a 6-0 lead. Chuck Magill would get the lone goal for Lower Cape on the power play and Kingsway would take a 6-1 lead into the third period. Ian Durr and Salerno would get goals early in the third period as Kingsway built the lead to 8-1. With the win Kingsway clinched the top spot in their division.
