Colin Hughes scored two goals and Matthew Dalonzo stopped all 24 shots as Clearview defeated Mainland 4-0 in Tier II play at Voorhees on Monday night. The View took control of the game in the first period scoring three goals, with Hughes getting things started just over one minute into the game. Luc Froio would make it 2-0 getting his fourth of the year at the eight minute mark. Chase Dyar gave the View a 3-0 lead in the final minute of the period.

Chase Dyar had two goals as Clearview defeated Middle Township 7-2 last night at Hollydell. Mike DeFelice opened the scoring for the View four minute into the game with Dyar and Colin Hughes getting the assists. Midway through the period Nick Pirrotta would score his 8th of the season to give the View a 2-0 lead. Mike Linhares would get Middle on the board with just under two minutes left in the period to cut the deficit to 2-1. Dyar got his first of the game scoring on a breakaway with forty six seconds left in the period to give the View a 3-1 lead after one period.
The nominees for the 2017-2018 Junior/Senior Showcase game have been released. The game will be played on Wednesday, February 7th at the Voorhees Skate Zone at 7:05. Tickets are $5. Head coach from Moorestown will team with head coach from Cherry Hill East to oppose head coach from Cherokee who will team with head coach from Kingsway. Gavin Dierkhising second goal of the night on the power play with just over five minutes left in the game gave Riverfront a 3-3 tie against Clearview in Tier II action played in Voorhees. Sean Cantwell and Colin Hughes exchanged goals in the first period, for Hughes it was his team high 19th of the season and that’s where we stood after one period. Dierkhising scored the only goal of the second period this one on the power play as Riverfront took a 2-1 lead into the third period. The View would rally in the third period as they would score twice in less than two minutes to take the lead.
Colin Hughes scored four goals as Clearview eased by Middle Township 7-2 in action played at Hollydell on Friday night. The View broke the game open scoring three goals in a two minute span. Hughes scored the only goal of the first period midway through as Clearview led just 1-0 after one. Goals by Eli Howey, Hughes and Chase Dyar in a two minute span gave the View a 4-0. Thomas Rockey would make it 5-0 scoring on a breakaway.
Matthew Kilkenny scored with less than four minutes remaining in the game to give HLV a 1-1 tie against Clearview in SJHSHL action played in Voorhees. Clearview’s lone goal came off the stick of Christopher Geary midway through the second period, his fourth of the season and Clearview goalie Matt Dalonzo made that lead stand up until late in the game. Dalonzo stopped 32 shots in a strong performance while the View was only able to launch 14 shots. HLV improved to 13-2-2 on the season and moved one point ahead of Cherry Hill East in the standings.
St Joe’s scored two third period goals to salvage a 4-4 tie against Clearview in Tier II action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Nick Jervas got the game’s first goal scoring on the power play to give St. Joe’s a 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes later Colin Hughes would get the equalizer for Clearview scoring his 14th of the season. Kevin Glass would score an unassisted goal at the nine minute mark to give St. Joe’s a 2-1 lead. But goals by Brendan Bainbridge and Derek McKinley fifteen seconds apart would give the View a 3-2 lead after one period.
HLV trailed 4-3 after two periods but scored twice in the third period to edge Clearview 5-4 in Tier II action in Voorhees. Matthew Saavas scored two goals to lead HLV. The two teams battled each period as HLV took a 3-0 lead in the first on two goals by Saavas sandwiched around a power play goal by Bryan Knaust. The second period belonged to Clearview as they would put up a four spot to take a 4-3 lead after two. Clearview would take advantage of three penalties scoring on all three opportunities. After Colin Hughes scored an unassisted goal two minutes in, power play goals by Mike Difelice, Luc Froio and Chase Dyar gave the View the 4-3 lead.
Cherry Hill East improved to 9-1 on the season as they defeated Clearview 4-1 in the late game played at Hollydell on Friday night. With the game tied at 1-1, Johnny Pearson sped down the right side and scored his ninth goal of the season to give East the lead for good. Luke Steele would make it 3-1 in the final thirty seconds of the period on a feed from Pearson.
Six different players scored for Clearview as they defeated Mainland 6-4 in SJHSHL action played in Voorhees. The View would use a three goal first period to take charge with Christopher Geary putting the View up 1-0 just over three minutes into the game. Mainland would tie the game at 1-1 midway through the period on a goal by Jack Hassett, his second of the season. Goals by Justin Dalonzo and Derek McKinley on the power play gave the View a 3-1 lead after one period. The goals came ninety seconds apart and when Brendan Bainbridge scored just over one minute into the second period the View led 4-1.
